Inkwenkwezi
                               Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve.
                                     Seven day six night itinerary.
Day One.
Your safari starts the minute you leave East London Airport. Travel by vehicle through African villages, home of the Xhosa People. On arrival at the Game Reserve, you will be welcomed with refreshments, and given time to settle into your accommodation. You will be introduced to your horses and taken out for a short ride to become aquatinted with your mounts. This ride will take you up the hill behind the Safari camp, where we are likely to see herds of Red Hartebeest, steenbok, duiker and warthog. We will ride past a waterhole where we will water the horses before descending down a kloof into a riverbed where we are likely to see Kudu, Baboon and the elusive shy Bushbuck. We return back to the safari camp as the sun is setting. Meet for sundowners at the boma around a huge roaring log fire under the African skies.
Day Two.
Rise early and after a cup of coffee or tea, saddle up and ride out to the plains to see wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, springbok and the other plains game. Ride back to the Safari camp for breakfast. Saddle up and explore the rugged river valleys. Here we are likely to see an abundance of birdlife as well as the shy bushbuck and the blue duiker, the smallest antelope in the world. After lunch, saddle up and ride out to a waterhole near the lodge, to watch the game coming down for their evening drink. After a traditional meal cooked over an open fire in the boma, we set off for a night Game drive in a open topped vehicle with a spotlight. We might be lucky to see some of the nocturnal animals.
Day Three.
After breakfast we will ride out behind the lodge. This route will take us up the hill onto the plains. Here we will have the opportunity to canter amongst the herds of plains game. Ride amongst the Black Wildebeest, Blesbok, Zebra and Hartebeest. After watering the horses at a watering hole we descend into the Bulura river valley where a vehicle awaits us with our lunch. After lunch we return across the plains to the Safari camp where will relax around a roaring log fire in the boma.
Day Four.
Today we have the opportunity of sleeping in late. After breakfast we traveling an open topped 4x4 vehicle to the Lion enclosure. We drive through this 70 Ha enclosure and are able to photograph the pride from close quarters. After lunch at a viewpoint overlooking the Bulura  river valley we descend to the river and are able to cool off. There are a number of canoes on the river and the more adventurous can try abseiling/rappelling.  We then move on to Inyati Game viewing area where we can expect to see Buffalo, Waterbuck, Bontebok, Zebra, Giraffe, and many other species of game. Return to the Safari camp for the evening meal in the Lap
Day Five.
Today we head off to track the elusive mighty White Rhino. After breakfast we saddle up and start searching the ground for Rhino tracks. Although these animals are so huge they are very elusive. Rhino at close quarters from horseback is an experience never to be forgotten. There are many other animals that we are likely to see including the Eastern Cape Kudu, Eland and Giraffe.  We return to the Safari camp, have lunch and get ready to leave by vehicle for the Inkwenkwezi restaurant. On the way we pass many of the herds of plains game. At the restaurant we will sit down to a six course meal and discuss the adventures of the day. We return by vehicle to the Safari camp using a spotlight to view the many nocturnal animals.
 Day Six.
After saddling up early we ride through valleys and below steep cliffs heading towards the Bulura River. Breakfast will be served in the reserve under Acacia trees. Today we can expect to see Black eagles, Fish eagles, Rock dassies, Baboons, Vervet monkeys, Warthog and if we are lucky, Buffalo. Here we have a picnic lunch and a chance to cool off in the river after taking a different route back to the safari camp over high mountain tracks and get back in time for sundowners around a fire in the boma.
Day Seven.
You have the option of either sleeping in late or rising early to take a last ride in the reserve before departing to East London Airport.
